Darren Touch University Student Ottawa, Ontario

Darren Touch was born and raised by immigrant parents who came to Canada to build a new life, so he recognizes hard work when he sees it. As a fourth-year student in political science and public administration at the University of Ottawa, Darren is proud of Canada’s energy industry and the potential it has to build a brighter future for our country.

Through responsible and sustainable resource development, Darren believes that Canada can play a leading role in energy security, both at home and around the world. “From working and travelling abroad, there is a huge demand for energy, and we have the potential to provide it,” says Darren.

Having worked at the Canadian Embassy in Beijing, and now at the Canadian Chambers of Commerce in Cambodia, he witnessed first-hand the rapid growth of these regions and the demand they have for energy. Getting Canadian energy to these markets is a tremendous opportunity for our country.

Think energy developed the Canadian way is good for our country’s future? Become an Energy Citizen today.
