Michelle Andrus Public Servant and Education Champion Surrey, British Columbia

Born and raised in Surrey, British Columbia to immigrant parents, Michelle Andrus’s mother instilled in her the values of education, getting involved and being part of the community.

Michelle works in Marketing and Fundraising Development for the City of Surrey, focusing on educational programs to improve literacy in children across the city. “I know the economic benefits from the energy sector go into our education system which is very important to me,” she says.

Michelle became an Energy Citizen because she believes it is important to be well-informed on energy issues. “The power of knowledge inspires to build a better future”, she says, “and I encourage everyone to get educated on the energy sector so we can ensure we have a better future for ourselves and the next generation.”

Think energy developed the Canadian way is good for future generations? Become an Energy Citizen today.
