Pipelines

Support Canadian energy projects in development

Canada can be the supplier of choice for energy, both at home and abroad. We develop our resources responsibly, with a strong focus on safety and the environment. Our abundant natural resources make it possible for us to enjoy one of the highest qualities of life in the world. But first, we need to get our products to market.

Pipelines provide a safe, cost-efficient way of transporting oil and natural gas, both within Canada and to new global markets. They are much-needed infrastructure which enable us to export our valuable natural resources with lower risk and fewer greenhouse gas emissions. Pipelines also offer the opportunity to meet our own needs, by bringing oil to Canadian provinces currently importing it from other countries.

Without pipelines to diverse markets, Canada’s highly valuable resources remain tied to a single export customer, the United States, with higher cost means of transportation, limiting our ability to be a global energy leader and provide for our own needs here at home. Now, more than ever, we must show our support for all Canadian energy projects. Market access is vital to the wellbeing of our country.
