Tens of thousands of Canadians have told every member of the Senate and the Natural Resources Minister that they stand against Bill C-69 as it stands.

Simply put, this legislation puts new pipeline projects at risk. It is legally vulnerable. And it will mean lost jobs and hurt investor confidence. That’s unacceptable.

The bill sits before the Senate Standing Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources. There are 14 members of that committee and we need them to know just how many Canadians stand against this legislation as written.

We are undertaking a letter writing campaign targeting each member of the committee to ask them to stand up for Canadian jobs, our workers and our energy sector.

Patti LaBoucane-Benson is a recently appointed senator from Alberta and sits with the Independent Senators Group. She has said she wants to see changes to the bill and to make changes to improve it as written. Tell Senator LaBoucane-Benson to stand up for Canada’s economy today!
