The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) in partnership with the Western Canada Marine Response Corporation (WCMRC), invite you to join us for a Marine Response and Safety Tour on September 10th.
Shipments of our natural resources have moved safely along Canada’s West Coast for over 60 years as this is a critical route for Canadian products to reach global markets. But we understand Canadians are concerned about increased marine traffic and ensuring British Columbia’s coastline is protected.
You will see first-hand how multiple service providers such as Saam Smit, Pacific Pilotage, the Port of Vancouver and WCMRC work together and how they respond in the event of any spill on our waters. The tour will take you up the Burrard Inlet to see several facilities such as the Westridge Marine Terminal, Port of Vancouver, and Parkland Refinery, while also viewing an on-water marine response demonstration provided by WCMRC.
Please join us to learn more about marine response and tanker safety.
*All confirmed attendees will receive a detailed itinerary. The tour will proceed rain or shine.
Complimentary transportation will be provided for UBCM attendees to Whistler from Vancouver following the tour via a chartered bus.
Click here if you require transportation to Whistler (spouses attending UBCM are welcome to join you on the bus)
