Kareem Allam is the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Civeo, a workforce housing company which lodges 12,000 people and serves 40,000 meals a day to workers in Canada’s oil sands. From providing special menus to employees and guests during Ramadan, to setting up spiritual areas for indigenous guests and staff, Kareem and his colleagues help provide a custom experience for workers from all walks of life.
Kareem knows first-hand the diversity of the people who work in Canada’s energy sector. Whether it’s new Canadians, indigenous peoples, or those who come from other provinces and territories, the demand for talent creates opportunities for Canadian families to grow and achieve their true potential.
Through his work, Kareem sees up close how Canada’s oils sands are bringing people together. He sees how they’re working to develop new technology and sustainable solutions for the energy sector. “This is the real Canadian oil sands and I’m proud to be part of it.”
